Before preparing the medicine
Obtain the herbs and recipe from Anca, then return home to Pieter. Read the recipe in your inventory before entering the preparation conversation: it is not available to consult during the choices.
- When the water choice appears, select hot water.
- When asked how many spoonfuls to add, select three.
- Continue the scene to give Esme the prepared medicine.
The earlier decision about feeding Esme at the meal is separate from mixing her medicine. Staying with Anca to study Latin is also a separate choice; it does not replace the recipe step.
If you mixed it incorrectly
Story-consequence uncertainty: PC Gamer warns of serious consequences, while Polygon’s Withering Away guide reports no lasting effect in its testing. Those accounts disagree. We cannot promise that an incorrect dose is harmless, or state a guaranteed later outcome. If you want to follow the written recipe, use a save from before preparation if one is available.
